The Peugeot 408X is based on the EMP2 Stellantis platform and shares its underpinnings with the 308 hatchback and estate. But Peugeot insists that it is a more luxurious car, positioned at the top of the C-segment. Its design is modern, bold and full of sharp lines and attractive curves that give it a sporty and futuristic look.

Body dimensions and features

The car is 4687 mm long, slightly larger than the Peugeot 308 SW. It is 1859 mm wide and 1478 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2787 mm. In higher versions, it is also possible to order 20-inch wheels, which adds to its visual appeal.

Modern and well-equipped cabin

The interior of the Peugeot 408X is largely similar to the 308. In this car, two 10-inch digital displays, a small and unique Peugeot steering wheel, and a Focal sound system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer create a different and enjoyable experience for the driver and passengers.

Spacious cargo space

The boot capacity is 536 litres in normal mode, but with the rear seats folded down this increases to 1,611 litres. This is slightly less than the 308, but still provides plenty of space for travel gear or everyday shopping.

Powerful and economical engines

The Peugeot 408X will initially be offered in two plug-in hybrid versions, both with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The electric motor in both models has 109 horsepower, but the difference is in the 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine: Version 1: 150 horsepower + 109 horsepower electric motor (total 180 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque) Version 2: 180 horsepower + 109 horsepower electric motor (total 225 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque) The base version of the car will also be available with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that has 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The future of the Peugeot 408X in Iran

Peugeot has no plans to launch a diesel version of the car, but an all-electric model is on the way. On the other hand, Iran Khodro plans to initially import the car to the market, with the possibility of assembling it domestically in the future.
