Hello and good morning, dear friends of IR-LuxeCars website. We are very happy and proud that you are giving your valuable time to our team. Today in this article we are going to examine the correct way to battery to battery. So stay with us until the end
How to battery to battery
One of the reasons the car does not turn on can be due to the battery running out. Open the car switch to find out. Then if the rear lights of the car’s amps and appliances do not turn on, there is a problem with the battery.
There are some things to keep in mind when it comes to battery life.
- Find and get a healthy battery first.
Then park the other car next to the damaged car so that the length of the battery cable reaches the battery to do this.
Keep the car switch closed.
Identify the negative and positive poles One way to identify the negative and positive poles of a battery is the color of the cable that is connected to the battery. The red cable is the characteristic of the positive pole and the black cable is the characteristic of the negative pole. Also, the red cable is thicker than the black cable.
First you need to connect one end of the red cable to the positive terminal of the healthy car battery, and the other end to the positive terminal of the damaged car battery.
Connect one end of the black cable to the negative terminal of a healthy battery, but here the important point is that you should never connect the other end of the cable to the negative terminal of the exhausted battery. Because it causes damage to the ECU.
Also, do not connect the cables in reverse under any circumstances. Because it will cause the batteries to explode.
Do not connect the negative cable clamp in the damaged vehicle to the negative terminal of the damaged battery.
It is a suitable place to install and connect it on a part of the metal body or engine of this car.
Now you can start a healthy car and then after a few minutes, start and turn on the damaged car. In these few minutes and before the start time, you should not remove the cables. After turning on the car, first connect the black cable to the car body and then connect the other side of the black cable to the healthy car. Disconnect the red cables afterwards. It should be noted that if the car is left on for several minutes, the battery is healthy and will recharge after about half an hour. But if it shuts down quickly, the battery has a problem and needs to be replaced. But if the car does not turn on at all with the correct process from battery to battery and do it repeatedly, the problems will be in other parts such as wiring and alternator. Note that the amount of battery amp is an important case. Lighter cars with lower amps may not be able to turn on bigger, more powerful cars.
